The Wisdom of the Past and the Science of Today
Dr. Perkins offers several Testing Options that can be helpful in evaluating your health concerns. Testing before your appointment can save time and expense on follow-up appointments. The Comprehensive Blood Analysis and Hair Mineral Analysis are the most important tests you can do. Both require a prepayment. Each of the following testing options can be selected when you schedule an appointment:
The Comprehensive Blood Analysis tests the health status of your immune system, blood sugar, liver, kidney, pancreas, thyroid, adrenal, inflammatory markers, gastrointestinal and much more. Dr. Perkins will review the results and create an individualized, detailed report explaining what the results mean, recommendations for diet and lifestyle changes, supplements, further testing, etc.
The Hair Mineral Analysis for Nutritional Balancing gives you a picture of your body’s chemistry over the past 3 months. This can be an advantage as the test results are not influenced by day-to-day variations in body chemistry due to stress, diet or other factors. By creating a blueprint of one’s individual biochemistry, a hair mineral analysis can identify mineral patterns associated with stress, blood sugar/carbohydrate imbalances, metabolic rate, energy production, and glandular imbalances.
In fact, minerals are the “spark plugs” of life and play many important health related roles in the human body. As the body’s adaptive energy increases, so does its ability to rid itself of toxic heavy metals and heal itself of disease.
Neurotransmitter/Adrenal (urine/saliva) measures brain neurotransmitter and adrenal stress hormone levels. This is a valuable assessment tool if you experience the following: stress, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, fatigue, Insomnia, weight gain, etc.
Simple Stool Analysis (stool/saliva) tests for pathogenic bacteria, yeast, parasites and more. This test should be considered with conditions such as irritable bowel, constipation, diarrhea, ADD, gas, bloating, heartburn, skin conditions, etc.
Wellness Panel (stool/saliva) includes tests in the Simple Stool Analysis plus H. pylori, adrenal hormones, sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone) and gluten/dairy food sensitivities.
